LPFA responds to final Hutton report

LPFA have published their response to Lord Hutton's final report. It can be download below

It supports the recommendations in terms of;

• Core CARE scheme

• Higher retirement age

• Shared risk with automatic regulation

• Common core scheme across public sector

• Retention of funded status for LGPS

• Independent scrutiny

• Improved governance

Whilst commenting on:

• Potential increases to member contributions

• Retention of final salary link for accrued rights

• Access to the LGPS

• Governance and the need for primary legislation

• The appeal to younger and lower paid employees
